NEW POKEMON GAME ANNOUNCED
Earlier today, Nintendo shockingly announced the latest entries in their popular Pokemon franchise, Pokemon Guardian and Pokemon Mail. These games promise to feature the biggest shake ups to the series yet and fans are already harbouring excitement for their release. This also marks the first time a Pokemon title has been set in London.

| Much like Pokemon Go and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo's new entries in the series mark a departure from the series conventions and roots. |
While Pokemon games usually surround the collection and trading of monsters, with the 'Gotta catch 'em all' tagline usually within trainers sights, game developer GameFreak has decided to abandon this convention completely this time around.
In this iteration; trainers collect and share as many articles as possible with the end goal being to expand their inner circle as much as they can. Trainers can then battle their opinions against each other until one of the other trainers is silenced, battles are reportedly the longest they have ever been in the series. There doesn't appear to an option to trade opinions to other trainers, so the opinions you gather along the adventure remain your own. How fun it sounds!
Nintendo CEO Shigeru Miyamoto commented "It's important that we move with the times, people don't collect and share monsters anymore, they share articles." He elaborated "It's quick, it's easy, it's not fun, but the people engage with it.. We really didn't have a choice."
Pokemon Guardian and Mail are due to release in 2018 and while not directly confirmed as of yet there are murmers of Pokemon Conservative and Labour following in 2020. Conservative will offer a slightly higher price tag and Labour will release in two parts for some reason... Both games will still feature the exact same experience.
